  I thought the course was well taught and easy to understand. I have played the guitar since I was 8 years old. Thats 50 years of playing on and off. Many times I have taken long breaks due to bordom because I was doing the same thing over and over again. Fingerpicking was one of those things I just never took on. One day I decided to Learn Sultans of Swing and do it in Fingerstyle like Mark Knopfler but there was a problem, I didn’t have a clue what to do. Your course gave me the foundation, and frustration, to pull off a huge feat. And that is teach an old dog a new trick. In general, finger style has added new challenges and broke the pattern of boredom and made guitar playing an absolute joy and now I cannot put the guitar down. I left off a half star for the reason that there was never instruction on adding the Percussive Element. There is a 1 minute section but it was just a thank you.

  I bought the intermediate and the advanced courses at the same time. Loved the intermediate course. The presentation and was exceptional. This quickly establishes and builds the foundation, with lots of practice suggestions to strengthen our understanding and different ways to use the techniques. I Just finished my first walk-through of the course. Now I need to go back and put in some serious practice. Can't wait to start the advanced, hopefully tomorrow. This is one of the best courses I have taken. It is truly an intermediate course. Highly recommended. Also, it's a fun course to take. Thank you for a great presentation of a great tutorial!

  This is an excellent course. I like very much the approach to teaching Music Theory which is important when playing an instrument. Looking forward to the coming lessons. Now I have finished the course and I am very satisfied. I learned a lot of new things. Highly recommend. I now see that Patrick is providing us with a new course for further learning in this field. I have looked at the info videos and are definitely going to enrol. Thanks and please keep up the good work.

  This course is just what I needed: an intermediate to Advanced fingerstyle course that would introduce me to different fingerpicking tools and techniques to add to my inventory. Got lots to learn. Though I'm not into Blues, but that riff just appealed to me, so I'm planning to learn that too. Haha Thank you, Patrick sir, for making this course. It was totally worth it.

  I started with these lessons (the beginner course first) knowing nothing about the guitar. I can now fingerpick with relative ease. The hard part is the chords, not the fingerpicking! That being said, these lessons are digestible and never too challenging, while always pushing you towards improvement. This (and the other fingerpicking courses) are worth your time and money. Thank you!

  I have been playing fingerstyle for years. This course provided an stepwise, progressive approach starting with basics, then focusing on including melodies with the 3 higher strings. The approach is different than many fingerstyles that focus on upper string picking patterns. Melody means, as needed, plucking the same string successively. Similar to other approaches this course includes rhythmic patterns.

  Pro: I enjoyed learning the piece. Skills needed to learn it are nicely broken down with specific exercises to help you master them. Cons: Tabs have errors. Tabs are not always associated with correct videos. Course is incomplete (the percussive elements reviewed in the course preview are not covered). The instructor seems no longer to respond to questions.

  helpful and good course, but hard to train since some lessons are mixed up in order (Blues) or missing (Blues percussion); a mp3 with the two pieces in full and lower speed would also be very helpful; last but not least, the first piece was introduced with a capo on 4th fret, but this never showed up again.

  It was a good match. I've been working on finger picking style for awhile now with mixed results. This course explained things and provided pieces that moved me forward pretty quickly. The blues still needs !ots of practice but I'm getting there. I've always wanted to pick the blues. Now i have the skills. Thank you.

  My fingerpicking has definitely improved by doing this course. Being able to now play a credible fingerstyle blues is particularly rewarding. The sequencing and buildup of each lesson is helpful for learning and I love that Patrick has provided standard music notation as well as tab for each lesson. Looking forward to the advanced course.

  I consider myself an intermediate player and this course has helped me improve my fingerpicking skills a great deal! The difficulty level increases rather quickly, but if you practice regularly you will definitely see results! I really like how Patrick keeps his students motivated, especially when the exercises get more challenging :)

  Excellent presentation in easy to learn segments. I appreciated the seamless integration of scales and learning how to create melodies within the context of the piece of music being taught. Highly recommended to anyone who has a basic grasp of chords and some fingerpicking.
