BEGINNER LESSON
LET IT SNOW
This fantastic Dean Martin song is the perfect tune to fingerpick at Christmas time.
Verse
Start with the melody
I suggest you just play the melody on its own to begin with. If you know the melody of the song, then playing it should be easy enough.
ADDING THE BASS
We begin with a C chord and play a 5-4-6-4 pattern (the four bass notes you see in bar 1 and bar 2).
Then there is an Em7 and a D# diminished with an F# bass in bar 3 and a G chord in bar 4.
Bar 5 is D A7 D minor and then we have the lovely run down.

The best way to learn the chorus is again to play just the melody first.

We have a G chord for bars 5 and 6 and A7 to Em7 for bar 7 and back to G for bar 8
